Sketchcrawl - Rail Museum and Oaks Bottom

I grabbed an orange bike to get there, leaving it at the west end of the Tilikum Bridge so I could grab a coffee at Starbucks.  And found  a plethora of bikes there, with pods of orange Biketown bikes on both sides of the road.  And also Jump and Lime e-assist bikes.

Taking the bike had gotten me there way early.  Early enough to start with a sketch of the streetcar bridge over the RR tracks.
Headed towards the rail museum, looking for another sketch.  But found that the other sketchers were already collecting.  So I chatted for a bit, and then, leaning against the fence (with the westbound MAXes passing a foot behind my head) I did a car and caboose parked in front of the museum.
By the time that was done the museum was open.  We went in and browsed a bit, then most of us got on the excursion train to Selwood, leaving only Deb to work her way through the old engines being refurbished in the museum.

We put-putted our way down along the Springwater Corridor.  I honestly thought that it'd be faster to ride a bike, and wondered why none were passing us, before I remembered that the Springwater was closed this summer.  We all got off at Oaks Bottom, and I found my way into the amusement park.  And was drawn to their new roller-coaster, the Adrenaline Peak.
It's a short ride, but an intense one, with the passengers being shot up and down and around and twisting about in a corkscrew.

Wandered around a bit after finishing that.  There are picnics shelters, a beach, a dance hall and a roller-skating rink.  And I found the old roller-coaster, now used only by little kids and their parents.
We caught the 2pm train back to town, and then gathered in a new restaurant for a throw-down and a meal.  Kalina's John straggled in after an hour, having taken the next train after staying to sample the rides.  Yes, he had ridden the 30 seconds of hell.  And had spoken some rude words to it.
