Day 159

 No change to the script

Green persimmons

Picked up a batch of the persimmons that my tree had aborted (really, it couldn't have held on to all of them without breaking) and tried a sketch with colored pencils.  Using a triad of cyan, magenta and yellow.

It seemed to work best to start with magenta, laying down the outline and shadows, then add in the cyan, leaving the highlights blank, and then laying down the yellow on top.

Day 156

No change to the script.

I'm using random fonts, but many of them don't work.  Cause many don't have glyphs for our standard Latin letters.  I spent quite a bit of time googling around to try to figure out how to filter those fonts out, with no success.

Day 155 - fonts

Draw the numbers in a random font.

Virtual Sketchcrawl #7 - Postcards from the Industrial Refuge

I'd found my old sketching kit and marked off some 6x4 rectangles in it.  This morning I walked into the Industrial Refuge, stopping from time to time (always in the shade) to do sketches.

A water tower near Montgomery Park.  (I'd seen it often, while waiting for a bus, but never found the time to sketch it.)

A piece of 'art' (actually, a massive rusted drill bit, I think) in the ESCO office parking lot.

And the last standing bit of the ESCO foundry No 1.

Day 152 - different colors

I threw out the rgb color specification and replaced it with hsl (hue, saturation, lightness).  I ended up with a random hue, starting out fairly dark and lightening with each day.  (When we reach day 255, it will start out completely black and end up dead white.)  I also shifted the hue a tiny bit each day.

Day 151 - transparency

Added an alpha to the color specification to make this sketch.

And then removed that code. I don't like it. It makes the composition too muddy, with the higher numbers fading into the ones below.

Day 149

The only changes I made were to the UI, first saving the image only if the user requested it, and then adding a forever loop to keep making new ones until the user picked one to save.  And then in the noon meeting, I shared my screen and ran through images until Mary picked one.
