Day 352

Self portrait

Done very loosely, without reading glasses, because they immediately fogged up.

Day 350

Giving critters a rest for a bit, I'm starting in on plants

Day 348

And Pippin as an adult.  From a photo that I took after Aramis passed.  Cause when he was alive, they were always together, and I don't have any pictures of her by herself.

Day 346

And Pippin, from back when she was a kitten.

Day 345

Found one photo of Aramis with his eyes fully opened, but it was over-exposed.  I cropped it and darkened it, and finally got something that looks vaguely cat-like.

Day 344

Tried to create a better image of Aramis.  But everything I tried still ended up looking like a blob.

Day 342

And another image of Cricket, trying for a better likeness

Day 341

And a not terribly successful image of Cricket

Day 339

And, giving my own face a rest, I dug up some old pictures of cats who have lived with me.  This is Pearl, who joined my household in Seattle, and traveled down to Portland with me.

Day 338

Broken into 16ths.  Which I think may be too much.

Day 336

Broke the tiles into quarters to add more choices to the mix.

Day 335

Reworked the tile-making script to get more accurate values for the hues of the tiles (by shrinking each tile down to a single pixel, and interrogating that).  That gave me much better images.

Day 334

And, a first stab of choosing the tile with the closest hue

There are, obviously, problems.  But not in my comparison algorithm, I think.  The identity command that I'd been using to fetch the rgb values is going sideways.  It looks like it might be fetching the hue of the background, rather than the whole image.

Twinkle Trees

Part of the 2021 Portland Winter Light [non]Festival

And my go at the Portland Urban Sketcher's virtual theme of 'Light'.

Day 329 (back-dated)
